At the end of this year…

… we are trying to focus on how to do things we used to enjoy…

… getting a little frustrated as we want to move around, and can’t get there, yet….

… but mostly at our house, we are trying to create peace with the monsters who live above A’s bedroom by feeding them clementines!

Hope all had a great 2010 and an even better 2011!!

Dont get picky…

I did this during the 20 min the kids were eating lunch. So no the head is not exactly circular, the accessories aren’t all proportionate but when it’s to driving cold to go build a snowman this will have to do.

It’s just some left over white felt given to me (thank you Debby). And random felt pieces. I cut out a very rough snowman shape sewed and stuffed it. Than cut out some snowman accessories. All in all 15 min $0 and tons if Aidan fun. So that equals a great idea in my mind!

Paper chain…

I have always loved making paper chains, still do. This year I got to share that with Aidan, it seems to actually be the perfect craft for a two year old. It doesn’t take long you get instant results, and he got to use the STAPLER. (With help.) And yes he is wearing his monster costume as he put it up on the tree. He asked last night if he could wear his warm Monster costume last night when I put him to bed. I was so suprised he remembered it and more so that it was warm that I promised it would be sitting on the table for him this morning and it was… In all honesty I am a little jealous of his outfit today.

Christmas Ornaments…

Last year I wrote a post about making Christmas ornaments for the kids grandmas, grandpas, aunts and uncles and how important I felt that it was for the kids to do that for the people that love and care for them on a daily basis. This year to be honest, it almost didn’t happen. But thanks to some simple wooden ornaments that I found at Oriental Trading and tempera paint we have them all done and ready to go.

Aidan refused to do anything christmas, they were monsters, all of them. Monsters.

They are better than anything I could have planned!

Henry the red-nosed reindeer made his contributions the back side.

Holiday messes are the best, especially when they are made with little hands!

Smiley…

If you know him you know it’s true…

In reality…

I wish my house looked like all those clean and picturesque house out there in blogland… But it doesnt. There is doghair on my carpet one kid is dripping wet and the other is drooling. I need to learn to gracefully accept this is life. My life. And it is pretty great, once you get past the mess….

I want to cry with happiness….

Technology I love you. I am right now blogging from my phone which means all the sudden I suddenly will be able to blog much more… I will repeat it again. I love you iPhone.
